Remember, when designing an ensemble cast or team, you want a variety of body shapes and fashion sensibilities. Ideally, each character should be immediately recognizable even in silhouette.
At last, my time has come.
Yeah, I really noticed this on my most recent drafting effort. Holy hell it's gotten bad. Like, instant contempt whenever I accidentally open it because it's so bad.
I'm 95% SFF, but exact subgenres are really all over the place (hard sci fi, military sci fi, space adventures in the big gay universe) and they get bonus points for being queer/sapphic. Urban fantasy will always carry a special place in my heart for, what I hope is, obvious reasons.
I hear that 'voice' is important when telling a story from 2+ perspectives. For example: the Burkes. "I very carefully did not say anything, more interested in Katie’s complete interpretation of the facts before I poisoned the well with supposition." vs "Yeah, shit's bonkers." I hate them. 🌈📚💙
Live Desmond Burke update. You... you doing okay buddy? Your face has been stuck like that for the last 6 chapters. (art: cpericardium) 🌈📚💙
