I'm sorry to say, but I Believe from Persona 5 Royal is still one of the hypest songs in video games. That one bit where the chorus repeats itself by going "There's no turning back for us, because you know that I beLIEVE-"? It will never be beaten.

i actually think every ace attorney game asks you if you want a refresher on old tutorials or not. they only tutorialize the new stuff. im literally playing the first case of Investigation on call as i write this and they did ask if i NEEDED a tutorial for cross-examination

definitely, definitely. this person DOES talk about it pretty positively but i do get that setting those expectations on other people could hurt their experience of the game indeed. Metaphor IS Persona 5-like, but its also the furthest one can get from the typical Persona by setting and story alone

the only thing im very annoyed by is people acting like this game having things from other ATLUS games is a negative and complaining about it as if it were some important critique theyre making instead of just, aknowledging the obvious that they are there and that its a value neutral thing lol

to be fair (and i dont think Metaphor having aspects from P5 is bad), the game DOES have social links, social stats, free time you can either spend on those things or by going to dungeons, etc. its pretty Persona 5-like indeed (because its ATLUS's anniversary game and has a lot from their games)

it feels a lot like people complaining about Mario games. they eat so freakin' well that the worse game they get is a fuckin' Mario game, some of the best-designed videogames in the market, so they have to exaggerate how bad a game is in order to have one (1) bad installment

Ace Attorney has no bad games, only ones better than others, but theres always people trying to find Bad in every fanbase

over-corrected when trying to make a more beginner-friendly installment for what was gonna be their soft reboot that would bring tons of new fans. at least i know thats the reason the investigations were done the way theyre done
