How Boris Johnson got a £500k advance for this, apparently the first PM memoir to tell you less than you already knew about his premiership, is beyond mystifying www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article...
In the days and weeks that followed my bout of Covid there was quite a lot of indignant internet chatter about the exact severity of my illness.
That's interesting as my go to theory about why his Mail columns were so crap was that he was saving all the good stuff for his memoir. If the good stuff hasn't even made it into his memoir one does fell tempted to start speculating about his particular psychology.
Gift of the gab. Again.....
My only mistake was to briefly admit the truth and apologise....
Poundland throwing money at him.
If Johnson had COVID19, I am both the Earl of Sandwich and the Queen of Sheba. Didn't believe him in 2020, don't believe him now.
Just like Trump, he has his following. Fortunately in the UK that number is diminishing but there will be many who have to read it because it's Johnson. However, for many on here, he's a 'has been' who conned his way to power & got found out as utterly useless.
Nope. I think I have moved on. Thankfully.
If one had a nasty suspicious mind, and were imagining an entirely fictitious scenario whereby payment for services rendered could be made in a way that could not be successfully challenged, a suprisingly large advance for an unremarkable book might be a way to do it. Hypothetically speaking.
Sadly , there's always a Daily Mail reader who is happy to buy the book
