I want the smart, just not the send the control and data to and from the cloud. I wish all appliances had built in energy monitoring and reporting, that’s the useful smart that allows us to manage our consumption better

playinh with python result package (github.com/rustedpy/result) that provides a Rust like Result Object for python functions. I like the explicit Error typing it affords, but finding that dealing with an ecosystem that doesn't really conform to this pattern requires a lot of `as_result` conversions
