Nick Timothy/Telegraph/Mail claiming it's cheaper to keep people claiming asylum (not "illegal migrants") in hotels indefinitely at taxpayers' expense rather than processing their claims, allowing them to work, etc. Treating the public like fools.
Some things I’ve never done and never will do. Demanded to know what someone’s disability ‘actually is’. Demanded to know what some ones sex is. Demanded to know ‘where someone comes from.’ And also I’ve not asked what their DNA is or what’s in their knickers.
Immigration raids have been repeatedly shown to create cycles of exploitation and reinforce control actual criminals have over their victims through threats of deportations and repercussions if they try and seek help. We need policies of regularisation, instead Home Office uses raids as a PR stunt.
