Hot take (since that's all social media is good for): [And I mean NO negativity about it, just observation] The more someone is "anti-gatekeeping" and constantly saying how "transparent" and "open" they are about their process, the less likely they are to have a complex/high-level process at all.
Gear reviews outside of your niche are an interesting phenomenon: You're watching someone who knows what they're doing make cool stuff, and you hope buying the thing will let you do that. But you need knowledge/experience, not the piece of gear.
