*Record scratch* *Freeze frame* Yup, that's me, Fox McCloud, unable to move as I'm on the receiving end of a golden shower from no other than Wolf O'Donnel, my sworn mortal enemy. And I know what you're probably thinking... "That can't be Star Fox! He's a handsome captain who saves the galaxy time and time again, not a pathetic fire hydrant that all the canines in the neighborhood use as a public urinal!" ...And I don't blame you for thinking that. Hell, I can't hardly believe my current situation myself! But let's rewind a bit, shall we? It all started back when Falco managed to find a juicy lead on Wolf's current whereabouts and Peppy Hare suggested we tailed him, just so we could strike first for once. I volunteered for the stealth mission, not willing to let my friends take the risk alone. Slippy suggested that we should use a new piece of tech he was working on that'd let us camouflage ourselves in case things got ugly.
Just by the press of a button an army of nanomachines would come straight out. The minuscule things would scan your surroundings and come up with the most appropriate disguise for your current location and reshape your body as needed automatically. They'd even apply a layer of suggestive pheromones around your body so everyone near would be more inclined to believe that you didn't stick out. It was very impressive tech, having it at my disposal made me feel like the suave main character of a spy flick. But the manual was too damn thick and I've never been much of a reader, so I decided to learn by doing, just like I always do. But as you can already see, that would prove to be a fatal mistake on my part. And so, there I stood, once an action hero, now my sculpted body had been reshaped to the ugly, humble form of an ordinary fire hydrant.
On the bright side the tech did work as advertised. I've managed to get some valuable intel from Wolf completely undetected, mainly that he's hung like a racehorse and pisses like one, too. I do wonder what happened to my crewmates. They hadn't responded to my neuro-link radio calls for hours. Considering they also used the unstable disguise tech they could be anyone or anything... I wish they were here. I miss my freedom as my eyes, invisible to the naked eye for anyone else, take a longing glance at the night alien sky, starships passing by... Hey, isn't that ship kinda similar to the Airwing...? Wolf's ringtone sang and soon after I overheard Leon's voice: "The sabotage operation was a resounding success. They're completely at our mercy now." The chameleon said. "Excellent. Make sure that you don't break apart the blue bird or that the hare doesn't roll over. I want them for myself." Wolf answered with a grin. "As for the frog... Just remember to wash your hands after flushing it."
