Well, all the work of Alvin Roth is based on theory papers first and it’s arguably the only work that has truly saved lives ;)
Is this going to make a meaningful positive difference to people’s live, even if it’s a small difference for a small group of people?
That’s a shame, although it “looks” thorough! I was also thinking how interesting it’d be to study the general public’s willingness to fund gov consumer protection agencies depending on how “annoying” or unacceptable these deceptive strategies are… 👀
