My grandmother, and not-actually-an-aunt Auntie Madge, were avid fans. Total silence at 6.45pm (when it was originally broadcast), and no exceptions! Afterwards, she would apparently relay every nuance to my grandfather, who was completely uninterested, and attempting to read his newspaper. 1/
