I wasn't aware that self-righteousness carries additional punishment. Again, I don't need to like these people to have a general problem with how (here as well as in other countries) climate protesters are dealt with by the law. Coincidentally while climate policy is being watered down everywhere.
It is also possible to find them irritating and ill-advised in their actions, but not condoning lengthy prison-sentences for something that is just "inconveniencing" people. There is just something about climate protests these days that results in them being treated particularly harshly.
I am not sure. Such a DSU, if then in a similar alliance with CDU as CSU is, may have created major headaches by entering coalitions with the AfD. Many in the East-CDU would want that, but can't. If they were their own party, harder for the CDU to rein them in.
Kemi could become the new Brexit. With the true Kemiists lamenting that proper Kemi has never been tried.
They are not equals but at the moment the East makes up for their numerical inferiority by their resentment accelerating fragmentation/polarization and creating problems for coalition formation and governance not just at their state level but at federal level, certainly for the foreseeable future.

Not taking any credit here, but Brandenburg has just about managed to hold the left-right populist rebellion at bay. Well, it will probably now have a four party parliament. A "grand" coalition that is pretty much equal in size with the Putin stooges from the right and left.
Well, they still get their Christmas presents half a day before everyone else, so clearly haven't integrated.
