Athromorphology is still kind of bad though, as it assumes the extraterrestrials are like us (be it Biologically, Cognitively or Socially), and still bases their existence in relation to us as a standard. May have gotten a third idea: Cosmopology or Astropology (pology from Anthropology)

I'm sorry but I do feel it is probably the best word for it, though I can imagine in a world where extraterrestrials and us have regular contact they wouldn't appreciate being called "foreign men", so likely a soft word would be produced One suggestion I have: Antromorphology, "human-like study"
