Poe and I each separately considered taking a Roger Rabbit approach to it, but to be honest we're not sure that would be doable, either. This is likely moot because it's very unlikely the live action will get past Sabaody at the absolute most, but, well. It's fun to consider, anyway.
It's a musical, it's mad, it's visually going to be challenging to convey anything even remotely close to the spirit on a TV budget, it's action-heavy... As an animated arc it's a work of art, but it is ludicrously incompatible with the feel of a live action show.
Oh, hey, same! It was not a pleasant experience.
Poe's admission to the hospital was delayed today, so we're spending his unexpected bonus evening at home watching more of the Whole Cake Island arc of #onepiece. And part of my brain is busy obsessively cataloguing all the ways that this arc would be nigh impossible to produce for the live action.
Only if I can get the US embassy to arrange and pay for it, apparently. I'm tempted to go to my Gu office and explain the whole deal and ask for help registering as disabled in Korea, but without receiving Korean benefits just registering that I am disabled so I can give the documents to the US.
My issue is that I can do mental work I used to do, but not RELIABLY, and also not for more than realistically only about 8 hours a week 30 weeks a year, given how my classes have been wiping me out and requiring all of the break between semesters to recover from. It's not enough to help me live.
Like, the Korean system for disability assessment is by all accounts very straightforward, and derived from medical diagnosis more than function and work assessments. But that's not what the US system cares about, they really just look at whether you can do work.
Yeah, the mismatched documentation styles are my main concern. I actually think that if I just took my former diagnosis letters from my US doctors plus the diagnosis of CFS and chronic pain I got from a doctor here to Korean doctors for a fresh assessment, they probably would be quick to confirm.
what he's actually saying is the business model depends on stealing from people they can out-spend in legal fees
Thank you my dear. I'll be okay, but Poe has to be admitted on Sunday for a test on Wednesday for some reason, which means it will be NEXT Friday before he has a day of freedom from the hospital. I have to find spoons to do meal prep somehow so I don't just collapse all week.
