Yes, I’ve heard! I’m going to watch it once I’ve finished the manga.
Sunday plans: reading, writing, gaming, journalling. Perfect. I wish this was my agenda every day. #amwriting#authors#writingcommunity
We must stop talking about people who wrote fanfic as if it disqualifies you from ever doing anything else. Terry Pratchett wrote Jane Austen fanfic. Most published writers I know wrote some form of it. It’s a weird punishment for being open about writing it, often levelled by those who also do it.
Recently read - Sign of Affection Vol 1 by Suu Morishita One of the most charming mangas I have ever read, with a unique take on falling in love for the first time. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
It’s taken nearly a week of lunchtimes and evenings to surgically insert new dialogue and a new end to this chapter for Draft 3 edits. Quite enjoyed the alliteration in this line. Onwards to taking a whole chapter out and writing a brand new chapter in. #amwriting#writingcommunity
Wild. THREE writers from the little writing group we started over coffee in 2019 have books out TODAY. Such a talented community of diverse writers, we’re thrilled to see so many doing well. Congrats @davegoodman.bsky.social@shaunalawless.bsky.social@samkhorton.bsky.social
Recently read - Treacle Walker by Alan Garner A delightfully strange look at the meaning of time, I particularly liked the use of comics as a plot device and the repeated use of the word “daft” (an under-appreciated word!)
Recently read - The God and Gumiho by Sophie Kim A blend of two of my main interests - Korean culture (especially KPop!) and fantasy books. I really enjoyed the Korean mythology and setting of this story, and Hani is a great MC.
