People in the UK are being conditioned to think living well and with dignity is not achievable for everyone. It is one reason so many on the right pushed the Brexit agenda, so we were removed from the positive reality in the EU. This kind of backward thinking is the result. Scotland needs out.
Means testing appeals to people who believe the current system is fair, or so close to it it will be with a few tweaks. They don't care to know that it normally costs more than it saves while decreasing provision. They just want to believe the world is fair.
