I've got a mission from my partner. I'm waging war on damp and humidity with science as my ally. I got some cheapie humidity sensors and made some stands. The house is okay (now) but the garage is most definitely damp. Operation 'no more rusty tools' is a go. 🙂

I've kept mine up with a pinned tweet saying that I've upped sticks to here. My Twitter account (and this) is mostly a project diary so I can capture what I was up to and my thought process at the time. People seem to like my nonsense so I'll keep posting. ☺️

Oh they never are. It was entirely my own fault but I've swapped the chips over (and they're the right way up). 😂

Wouldn't it be terrible if I did something really fundamentally stupid like solder all the chips on upside down? Even worse if I plugged it in without noticing. Narrator: All the chips were soldered on upside down and it was plugged in. 😂

Got the PCBs in place and partially wired. By a quite wonderful coincidence, the gap between the switches is precisely the right width to accommodate an addressable COB LED strip. 🥳 I have a 2 amp Traco regulator in there so power won't be a problem either. 🤔

Initially multi key to get all the keys up and running but I'm going to try a 48k mode macro controlling 4 keys to navigate from the 128k menu to 48k mode, then type load "" and enter. It should just need up, enter, J, shift P twice then enter. 🙂

Plodding away and having a rather pleasant time while I do so. I'll start wiring up the extra keys and keep my fingers crossed that the magic smoke stays in. I've made extra boards as I have an interesting idea for later and it's good to have options. 🙂
