A fellow aspirant mentioned experiencing spiritual warfare during his discernment. I wasn’t sure what he meant, but after the week I’ve had, I think I get it.
Unpopular opinion: I like the long ending of Mark. I know the original ending at 16.8 is appropriately disorienting but there’s something valuable and authentic to 16.9-20
1. I'm sorry you encountered this response 2. I'm worried I will too in my own discernment process (though luckily I haven't so far) 3. More people in the church need to resist this false dichotomy between theology and pastoral ability.
