I've never seen my middle school experience summed up so well. Toxic masculinity was rampant, and these were 12-14 year olds. Get treated like shit by guys because they think you're ugly, or get harassed and touched because they think you're hot. Two flavors of poison.

Graffiti in St. Mary's Church, Lydiard Tregoze, dates all the way back to the #15thC. In the #19thC, when the glaziers installed new windows, they couldn't resist. T. Tanner Plumber / Glazier & Painter / New Leaded This Light / June 10th 1819 / W Bassett / Wilts

"A Gentlewoman, by a variety of Unfortunate Events, is reduced to the painful necessity of wishing for the friendship and protection of a middle-aged Gentleman of honour and integrity" If I were still on tinder I would absolutely use this as the opening line on my new profile 🗃️ #18thc

There's a lot of gothic influenced, coming of age stories set in the Victorian era (think along the lines of Kate Morton and Sarah Waters) - but not as many set in the Georgian era, I find. Just found out about this one, looks really interesting! #18thc www.amazon.com/Servant-Magg...
