At higher altitudes, the air is less dense, which makes it harder for birds in flight to generate lift. The turkey vulture has a solution.

So true. Ours are 1 and 3. You have to be careful about timing the flights so they sleep for big chunks. We also got an inflatable mattress that fits in the seat and lets them lay down. I stumbled on a pretty useful blog when preparing for our first long-haul flight. Iāll try to find it againā¦
