Rosalynn Carter and her husband did something that few others have voluntarily done. They visited the site of a nuclear reactor malfunction soon after the malfunction had occurred and - yes - went inside Three Mile Island. All that radiation & yet they both have had long, full lives! Rest in peace
Breaking news: Rosalynn Carter, a close political and policy adviser to her husband, President Jimmy Carter, died Nov. 19 at her home in Plains, Ga. She was 96.
She sat in on Cabinet meetings of her husband, Jimmy Carter, advised on policy issues and pushed Congress to pass mental health legislation.
