I haven't started watching the new season yet, because I'm re-reading the Silmarillion so I can be insufferable about it, and my word I feel bad for Brimbles. What a goddamn legacy to grow up with 'oh, hey, my granddad was simultaneously the greatest and the worst, and, err, so am I? By accident?'

I've reached the phase of hoping they bloody were burgled and the burglars left a little note saying 'ha ha no one gives a damn about your cheap alarm system, get a proper one that links to the police station next time.'

Somewhere out there along the street, an alarm has been going since 8pm yesterday evening. The cat is under the duvet, and there is not enough tea in all the world.
