New work from student Forrest Li with me and Dan Runcie asking how well genotype-environment correlations improve our ability to predict fitness in cultivated populations (spoiler: they don't). www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

The University of Chicago has 2 faculty searches that should interest evolutionary biologists/geneticists. A fantastic uni with lots of strong colleagues across departments. Get in touch if you have any questions! academicjobs.uchicago.edu/positions/1460… academicjobs.uchicago.edu/positions/1430

We found some interesting and initially puzzling results, including gene exchange between proto-sex chromosomes and leakiness in sex expression, that implies the evolution of separate sexes is still ongoing.

The species seems to be an interesting example of the evolution of separate sexes through the paradioecy pathway.

I'm recruiting for a PhD position to study the genomic basis of repeated adaptation at the University of Calgary. We have a big multi-species dataset and aim to expand it, with many unexplored avenues to test fundamental theories of evolution yeamanlab.weebly.com/uploads/5/7/...
