Our study on the genetic architecture of a sexual mimicry polymorphism, led by graduate student Tris Dodge, is now out at Current Biology! www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...bsky.app/profile/moll...
How phenotypic diversity originates and persists within populations are classic puzzles in evolutionary biology. While balanced polymorphisms segregat…
Whoops, looks like the working links got lost in translation. Here they are: academicjobs.uchicago.edu/positions/14...academicjobs.uchicago.edu/positions/14...
New work from student Forrest Li with me and Dan Runcie asking how well genotype-environment correlations improve our ability to predict fitness in cultivated populations (spoiler: they don't). www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

The UC Davis Center for Population Biology postdoctoral fellowship is now being advertised. This is a great opportunity to come join our wonderful community of Evolution & Ecology here at Davis. Please RT & post to your dept listservers cpb.ucdavis.edu/cpb-postdoc-...
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW IN POPULATION BIOLOGY EFFECTIVE: September 27, 2024 DEADLINE: November 1, 2024
The University of Chicago has 2 faculty searches that should interest evolutionary biologists/geneticists. A fantastic uni with lots of strong colleagues across departments. Get in touch if you have any questions! academicjobs.uchicago.edu/positions/1460… academicjobs.uchicago.edu/positions/1430
We found some interesting and initially puzzling results, including gene exchange between proto-sex chromosomes and leakiness in sex expression, that implies the evolution of separate sexes is still ongoing.
The species seems to be an interesting example of the evolution of separate sexes through the paradioecy pathway.
New work out, on the evolution and diversity of separate sexes in waterhemp!
The evolution, diversity, and genetic architecture of sex in waterhemp (Amaranthus tuberculatus) https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2024.09.17.613486v1
The evolution of separate sexes is hypothesized to occur through distinct pathways involving few lar
I'm recruiting for a PhD position to study the genomic basis of repeated adaptation at the University of Calgary. We have a big multi-species dataset and aim to expand it, with many unexplored avenues to test fundamental theories of evolution yeamanlab.weebly.com/uploads/5/7/...
New in @ScienceMagazine: Climate change exacerbates the environmental impacts of agriculture. It was a privilege to contribute to this all-star Ag-Clim team! Thanks to Yi Yang @ Chongqing University for his leadership. www.science.org/doi/abs/10.1...
Agriculture’s global environmental impacts are widely expected to continue expanding, driven by population and economic growth and dietary changes. This Review highlights climate change as an addition...
