The first time I saw Magnolia, the sheer shock, combined with delight at the audacity, of a particular occurrence near the end left me literally shaking/buzzing for the rest of the film and even on the way home afterwards.

Yes when I asked on Twitter a couple of years ago about the Sparks I hadn't read, Mandelbaum Gate got the most responses - both positive and negative! All agreed it was uncharacteristic anyway.
