Gityke - Steel/Electric Jeonjoul - Steel/Electric Inspirations: Seoul subway train, scooty car toy, bendy bus; the gangway connection between the two halves of Jeonjoul's body also calls to mind an earthworm.

Eevee evolutions for the newly introduced Light & Sound typings Luceon - Light Sonareon - Sound Inspirations: Luceon: Bioluminescent organisms, anglerfish, other deep-sea fish, Eevee Sonareon: Metronome, headphones, bat, Eevee Eeveelutions are an easy way to introduce new types through gameplay.
Lotad-Joseon - Grass/Light Lombre-Joseon - Grass/Light Ludicolo-Joseon - Grass/Light Inspirations: Lotus plant, kappa, Korean nobility (yangban). Yangban were considered the exemplary "scholarly official" in Joseon dynastic aristocracy, though they were often ridiculed by the common folk.
Gurutle - Water/Psychic Toracle - Water/Psychic Inspirations: Chinese palm turtle + wise sage/diviner. It's a play on the combined ideas of the palm turtle and palm reading, which is a form of divination.
