The hallucinations should be disqualifying on their own. But the staggering exploitation of water, energy, and creative labor is something I am begging my friends in academia to foreground in their conversations about AI. Let’s get specific about what we are doing, why, and at what cost.

Just wrapped our 1st joint interview for a podcast about science & research communication. At end, I said, "You don't have to know everything & you don't have to figure it all out by yourself. Sensemaking is how we get there together" It surprised me to realize how much *I* needed to hear that!
