Yep. I live in Beckenham, 2 roads from the border with Penge & a London postcode (Penge & Crystal Palace are also in Bromley) & I spend my life explaining to people that I live in London. Not sure I am a Londoner yet though as I grew up in deepest darkest Hampshire & am still to adjust.

The sad thing is that he is a really intelligent thoughtful & funny person but somewhere around 2014 he fell down a right wing rabbit hole & its taken hold. His kids don't speak to him & I find it really hard, but he's family & I hope that he will wake up & see how mad & destructive this all is.

The US discourse is crazy. I spoke to a family member, based in the US who is pro-Trump, but fortunately can't vote, yesterday & he very confidently told me that Starmer is going to imminently face a vote of no confidence & be replaced. I also think he thought Farage was going to be the new PM.
