One day, when I was a kid, our super-religious neighbours’ dog attacked and badly injured a baby rabbit in their backyard. The dad took said injured rabbit and tossed it over the fence into our yard, so that it became our problem. My mom tried to do something for the rabbit, but it died soon after.
