It’s been a major relief. It doesn’t change the fact that it should have been done 6 months ago- when he was hospitalised for this very thing- but better that’s than never. He’s a strong man for his age and will hopefully recover quickly

Grandfather update: The surgery was able to be done via laparoscope. He’s spent the day in high dependency. All going well he’ll get moved to a main ward tomorrow and will hopefully go home on Wednesday

I may have done the same thing last week when my neighbours decided to party. And rang our doorbell at 1.30am because they locked themselves out. I’m so VERY clumsy

Grandfather update: Currently in surgery getting his gallbladder out. We don’t know if it’ll be via keyhole procedure or if they’ll have to open him up. I’m glad it’s finally getting done, but he shouldn’t have had to be so I’ll he needed to be hospitalised again in order to get this done.

My grandfather is back in hospital again. Same thing as last time. It’s happened because he was supposed to get his gallbladder removed 6 months ago & instead they sent him home with a vague promise to do it. They knew this would happen & did nothing. Because the NHS is fucked

The cat has had her claw trim, gone in a spectacular huff, been given cat nip and is now completely off her tits in the middle of the bedroom floor Every 9 weeks it’s the same deal lol

My favorite genre of pet interaction is “Fluffy is just happy to be included” where said pet has no idea what is going on but wants to participate anyway

Our usual summer temp is 16-17C. And even that we don’t tend to get in September. This is not normal
