A rather LARGE part of me really wanted to get excused from Jury Duty for those reasons. But another part of me places so much value in democracy and due process. I know it's important that my strident, remote-working, mask-wearing, neurodivergent, queer opinion be a part of the justice process.

Your last sentence here is important, we need everyone to be on a jury, but, and this is important, don't do it if you don't want to be there. I've had to pull out of jury duty for the last 2 times I got called , it just doesn't always work out. Don't go if it's going to make your life worse.
