like most everyone else, I hate the collateral damage that are caused to real people while the GOP does this needless political kabuki and the 4th estate never mentions that there was a deal in place for a clean pass and the GOP broke their word.
The best part of Trump explicitly calling for a government shutdown is that if we avoid one, Democrats get the credit (because Republicans don’t have the votes) and if we don’t, Republicans take the blame (because they don’t have the votes). And no matter what, Democrats can talk about governance!
