i will say that america has shitty policies at present (weak foreign policy, half the country wants to kill trans people for existing) but it used to be a lot worse (slavery, we no longer assimilate natives). our democracy is flawed but it exists and however weak of a tool it is we have to use it

like i cant figure out their name rn but there was someone that wanted to abolish the united states for being a colonial genocidal state like israel and to that i say: nations can change their policies over time? (more in replies)

i cant tell if im getting agitated because of sleep deprivation or if im starting to get sick of the extremist political views of my supposed peers its one of the two and i cant tell what it is just yet

i have genuine reasons to fear that we might be going back in the other direction, and i wish i didnt have those fears. just like people were afraid to speak because of someone making disparaging comments at them, im afraid to speak because they might think what im saying is worthy of death

..because they were told i told them they were a loser, which i didnt say. this and also the fact that i might say something that i dont think is that bad and then im suddenly sent into the shadow realm over it without anyone bothering to tell me why civilly

i wish i was joking when i said this but i was playing oath of office, got to a lofty position, ran against someone for president and lost (was civil about it), got fired without explanation, rallied the server to impeach them, and they finally explained why they fired me.. (continued in reply)
