, which tended not to do reflected light at all—and quite the opposite of what you get if you shoot in a small real-world indoor space which you have bathed in pinkish-purple light! And while pink-purple-blue colours are definitely to be found they don't dominate "real" '80s "laser grid" art.

… 2) the surfaces between the vector lines, when they're visible at all (instead of pitch-black or completely transparent) tend to be uniformly lit & coloured, not showing "chiaroscuro" effects or colour shifts. This is after all just what you'd expect from art imitating early computer graphics …

My unreliable memory suggests that CARI's image selection might be a *little* unusual & unrepresentative, but even from that you can see that 1) by and large, the vector lines are bright but crisp, not blown out or casting light onto their surroundings, and ...

... and the sci-fi-art wireframe look which I tend to think of as the "Green Wireframe Future" but which @cari.institutecari.institute/aesthetics/l.... (Not an ideal name as the lines are primarily inspired by CRT vector lines, not lasers.)
