“ChatGPT/Copilot/Claude says” You can just stop that post right there. Literally no one cares what that thing has to say

My company signed up some folks for copilot and I tested it out to understand the issues it might cause us later. It’s not good and every internal discussion has been me saying this is not good and will cause us long term problems. Too bad most folks don’t understand what these tools actually do
"Random guy i found walking down the sidewalk says..." would be more reputable than citing ANY llm :pp
100% people will cite chat bots and say they don't want to expend the emotional labor of explaining something. Or because they think you would see it as more valid than their view as it is a third party to a conversation. This will only happen more and more often I'm sorry. :(
it's so funny seeing an online argument and then people just pull up chatgpt as if it's a reliable source
Read it as like you would read "according to a quick google search but I didn't verify the sources" which sometimes is a legitimate thing to say when you want to provide information but also note that it is not reliable.
there's one guy on the warframe subreddit who used chatgpt to tell him how many ayatan keys it would take to fill like a few hundred sculptures. basically a calculator.
