In each upkeep the Ophiomancer will give you a snake, which triggers the vampire and draws you a card. Then you sac the snake, and it makes another next upkeep. This means you can draw up to 4 cards per turn cycle AND get the value of whatever sac engine you're using too.

Alternatively, creatures that enters the battlefield with a number of +1/+1 counters will also eliminate that counter from persist without any added effort from you. If you need a fun way to save your creatures in +1/+1 counter decks, try Cauldron of Souls!
When a creature with persist comes back, it enters with a -1/-1 counter on it. Since -1/-1 and +1/+1 counters eliminate one another, that means putting +1/+1 counters on the newly saved creatures opens them up to be saved again.

Early game, you play the cycling lands for mana. Late game, you probably wanna throw 'em for cards. With the bounce lands you can pick up the cycling lands you played early to cycle them later on! Also worth mentioning the channel lands from Kamigawa as other lands that are nice with bounce lands!
