it feels a lot like they're trying to do "fleabag but jewish" and the premise doesn't quite translate over
also he calls the head rabbi at the temple his "boss" and to me that sounds weird but benefit of the doubt maybe it's a conservative judaism thing also they keep saying the reason to not marry gentiles is so that jews don't go extinct?? that's a weird and anachronistic interpretation idk
I just don't get the point of having one of the main characters be a rabbi and having so much of the plot revolve around judaism and then have him not know almost anything? like they talk for an entire episode about how excited they are for havdalah and then there's no havdalah scene??
