FYI, I was alerted today to someone going by the name of "Mercy Rockwell" trying to impersonate me in Indigenous circles on FB. This person is using my name to get access to closed groups. If we are friends on FB, please report them. Their intentions are not good. Miigwech.
I am not happy about my Indigenous child having to wear his long, beautiful hair up in a bun for Marching Band. Obvi, it's not on par with cutting his hair without consent, but it *feels* so disrespectful. But he loves band and forbids a fuss, so...argh.
My uncle has a small museum in Blue Earth, MN, to house his ENORMOUS collection of fossils, but is having a hard time finding funding to keep it open, and I want to help! I follow a lot of paleo nerds and science educators here, do any of y'all have any experience with crowdfunding this sorta thing?
