It’s amazing to me that no other social network has managed to offer a Twitter-like experience without having some scrappy open-source people reinvent some new protocol from scratch. Really makes me wonder what’s going on in the tech industry.

Good point about PRGs. Not sure I’m ready to do the Feistel stuff in this post, it’s already too long!

People need concrete examples in order to be motivated. Otherwise regulation will come “lazily” and after the fact, rather than early on and forcefully. Ironically the “AI will kill us all” people are really good at this, which has let them hijack the debate with fanciful scenarios.
