I played volleyball until I was 15. At 5’7” and 120 pounds I was the runt of my team, by many inches.

Yeah, my partner has a great case where the days are separate little am/pm boxes in different colors. Great for day travel. But most of my meds are inhaled or as needed so no fun cases. Just my war on terrible drug packaging designed by sadists.

Yeah, got my partner a tiny Ryobi one and he made that same face. He went on a branch trimming rampage that rivaled the Fiskars extendable pole trimmer purchase.

I found five grain aspirin in my favorite not-childproof container, a non round bottle with a screw off rubber grippy cap. Everything should be in these.

Is a coincidence? Or a conspiracy? We made rabies into a quaint boogeyman from old movies through a vaccine. There still isn’t really a treatment, it’s prevention-through-vaccination or a vax-after-exposure, that’s it. It shouldn’t be that hard to keep weirdos from refusing. 4/4

How well? The US has fewer than 10 per year, usually far less than that, since adoption of rabies vax mandates. PEP is cheap, easy and EFFECTIVE here, though cases it’s needed are on the rise. Because people can be convinced that this truly miraculous reduction in death from a horrible disease? 3/

Almost all cases in humans are from dogs. Except in the places with universal vax programs, like the US. Here we even vax feral and stray dogs and cats and all our cases are from wildlife. Rabies vaccine after a bite/scratch (PEP) prevents disease almost completely. It works. That well. 2/

I would posit the deadliest, at least of infectious diseases. And the greatest example that vaccines work. Thousands of people still die of rabies annually. It has a nearly 100% case fatality rate. Without PEP (post exposure prophylactics) you die, only 30ish people have survived ever. 1/

There were so many puzzling things happening, I couldn’t believe they’d just plain never learned about Mexican food at all. But that avocado dropped my jaw in amazement. I’ve never forgotten it.
