One of the most fascinating things about Torah to me is how much of it is literally remixed sacred practices of OTHER folk religions that were contemporaneous with the drafting of certain books of Torah; Torah as an inadvertent archaeological document of religious pluralism, syncretism and conquest.

Rewatching Jonathan Creek as an adult is so disappointing. Maddie was nothing but mean and cheap.
I told one of my union reps that endorsing Porter was controversial. I also said, as a Black woman, that endorsement illustrated how invisible we are in the union. And here we are. Fauxgressives saying Lee split the vote when everyone knew Porter needed to keep that damn seat. White board hubris.
Is this a safe space? Are there any Black folks who *like* being the first in their workplace? Cuz I'm finding it lonely that I have no one to share my snark about Mo'nique and DLH with.
