The difference some rain (ok a lot of rain) can make. The bog at Beaver Lake is looking like a lake again

September - A dry bog, mud flat, in the middle of Stanley Park bordered by trees
November - the bog is filled with water again at Beaver Lake, so much that it reflects the park trees on its glassy surface

Nurse log appreciation post 🌲🌎📸

Wide angle shot of the forest, with trees reaching into the sky. In the middle is a large stump out of which another tree is growing quite tall.

Out on the Seawall Leaves and driftwood all around Waves crash, it is fall 🍂 📸

Low perspective of the ledge of the stone Seawall around Stanley Park in Vancouver. Fallen leaves blown around the sides. On the left people are walking on the path which borders the road and forest. On the right, a sandy beach littered with driftwood logs pushed up by the waves. In the distance, the Lions Gate Bridge and the north shore mountains

On my walk around the park today I spotted at least a dozen sitting (or laying) quietly in the sunshine just enjoying their surroundings. Was a great day for it.

Keeping watch at the lagoon 🪶

A great blue heron stands on the edge of Lost Lagoon in Vancouver’s Stanley Park. Ducks swim on the water and the skyline of the West End is in the distance

Good morning, Vancouver 🍂👋 📷

A pile of leaves is blown against the Seawall ledge cuts from front right to back left of the image. Tree branches hang above and the windy waters of Coal Harbour are on the right with the Downtown Vancouver skyline behind. The sun broke through cloudy skies and is shining perfectly on a seagull perched on the Seawall

More autumn scenes in Vancouver 🍂 🚣‍♀️ 📷

On the left is the Stanley Park Seawall pathway, bordered by the stone railing which travels down the middle of the image and curves around the park to the right in the background. On the right, over the railing, is a high tide in Coal Harbour with several members of the Vancouver Rowing Club getting some practice in.
