I was going to say that Maryland could really use him, but we'd probably treat him like Philly did Hitchbot. We need more driving manners before we can host Mannertee.
And most importantly, better than Ralph Fiennes for like a fifth the price. (I said what I said. There's an actual Macbeth on that stage!)
Taffety Punk always delivers great acting with a good balance of attention to the verse with making the tone and jokes clear to a modern audience. Lise and Tonya are killing it as Macbeths with a complicatedly falling apart and cleaving together marriage even before they both get murdery.
Tonight might be the best and highest use of last year's purchase of consequences champagne.
Absolutely adore Jocelyn Bioh, and Jaja's is an excellent gut punch of a script. Also, the wig design is amazing, front row seats can't see through the literal magic to transform Mia Ellis over the course of the play. Special Tony for Nikiya Mathis 100% deserved!
Comedy of Errors is an absolute delight all the way through. I have no quibbles this time. Nothing started and didn't finish (unlike some of the good ideas in Much Ado). Can we do that again, please? With some additional DC hiring?
It's a great production and I don't mind stunt casting or people who want to work here regularly. But people ended up moving here because Michael did a heavier DC mix in in his classical casts, and it's appalling that Simon stopped trying partway into one season and isn't putting DC in co-pros.
