Quite high, unless it’s the middle of summer (too hot for the costumes). If you ask me again a few days before your trip, I can let you know of any events I know about.
Konyudo-kun is the mascot of Yokkaichi City and is based on a giant, 200-year-old mechanical doll that appears at festivals there. Shiromochi-kun is a rice cake from Tsu-City with a historical helmet.
Miyagi-Sendai tourism mascot Musubimaru, a samurai whose head is a rice ball (pictured here in sporting attire), meets Kitekero-kun, mascot of Yamagata Prefecture, who is shaped like the outline of Yamagata.
Kemuimon, a cloud of cigarette smoke who covers his own mouth, is a mascot who warns of the dangers of secondhand smoke.
It looks nice there!
They do make one, but it’s green and square.
Chi-tan (not that one) is the spherical orange mascot of Chatan, a town in Okinawa, and is based on the town emblem.
