Their family unfortunately is one of the primary reasons this is happening at all, involving their family would almost certainly be a death sentence It’s tricky too because they are an international student here in Canada but don’t live here, so the care available to them is limited

I have been doing the best I can to be there for this person, and ultimately I want nothing else than to continue to do that because in their words, I have been giving them a reason to hang on I also recognize that I have disappeared from most social circles I am in and want to be open as to why
This is led to them self h*rming very badly multiple times in the last two weeks and I have been taking care of them, tending to their wounds, being an emotional support, and cleaning up their apartment after the fact Last night after another night like this I found the start of s*icide note
TW: Self h*rm/S*icide Want to be transparent since I have been away for nearly two weeks now and have been really quiet. I have been watching hopelessly as somebody I love has been on a horrible downward spiral with their own mental health
