Is a pain because you will be unable to focus unless it's something you enjoy doing which makes you hyperfocus or hyperfixate. It can take you 5 hours to do a task that would normally take you 30 minutes because you keep doing something else by accident.

Executive functioning (Which from now on I'm calling EF). Procrastination can be really bad, it's caused by EF issues and causes a lot of stress in the long term. Guess what lots of stress can cause? Dissociation. On top that the concentration issues carry over into homework. Trying to do homework

The issue with doing that is the fact that executive function gets used up. You don't have infinite willpower. Forcefully concentrating while you are out of executive functioning can cause things like dissociation. Then the thing is, did you even really pay attention if you forget everything you

Second of all: Executive functioning issues. This one applies for both ADHD and ASD. In class. And out of class for homework. In class with ADHD and with asd if ur uninterested you will struggle with paying attention this is unless you use up a lot of willpower (executive function) to concentrate

And due to that prefer doing things on the fly way more. When it comes to autism (ASD) schedules are way better. They usually love schedules a lot, it gives then structure that they really like and a pattern to follow. Which is why forced schedules are fine for them.. as long as they're motivated.

First of all: A forced schedule (only for adhd) can be a really bad thing. The student can feel as if they're being jailed, caged or choked due to how locked they are in to a schedule. This is because the hyperactivity impulsivity type of adhd or the combined type are obviously very impulsive
