Q1. What, exactly, is the "sense of balance" sensing? Q2. When I "keep my balance", what am I keeping, exactly? Are the answers to Q1 and Q2 the same thing or different things? #neuroscience

As someone who is interested in the sense of balance and has worked on Reid, this is very interesting to me. I’m inclined to say that we sense gravitational force, and ‘keeping balance’ has to do with having a certain sort of control over our posture (e.g. not falling over) even if standing still.
