On stardate 48315.6 the USS Voyager vanished in The Badlands while investigating the disappearance of the Maquis vessel known as 'Val Jean' under the command of former Starfleet officer Chakotay. Present on board, amongst others was intelligence operative Tuvok.
"An Epic Ship" The Odyssey-Class, some named for epics, such as Odyssey and Iliad by Homer, some for the pioneering Constitutions: Yorktown, Hood, and of course - Enterprise. The class's ambition was to usher in the 25th century, with Starfleet at the forefront of the Alpha Quadrant.
