EVERYONE seemed to own one. It had a stopper & a lid (which was a cup), was glass insulated, so if you dropped it, it was useless for maintaining temperature. Yeah, I bored my daughter to death waxing poetic about them.... (FWIW, hearing that 'slapped' & 'ate' mean great wasn't thrilling for me)

Ohio, also not sporty Two nights ago, 23 y.o. daughter asked, "Mom, you know about the Stanley Cup thing, right?" I thought something happened to the hockey trophy! I then bored her with how there was a old, ubiquitous product, the Stanley Thermos. I'm so frikkin' old. *The new thing is NOT a CUP.

I've observed that Republicans are dedicated to deflection & hypocrisy. "People" don't "DESPERATELY WANT this to be "both sides." Republicans want as many people as possible to ACCEPT it's a "both sides" thing, despite it being untrue. Some folks will repeat it because it's easier than thinking.

Which "weirdo" (only one?) & which "funny hat"? I'm sure funny hat wearing weirdos tried to "disrupt an official proceeding (at a minimum) or maybe overthrow the republic". I also think folks dressed like tourists did too.

I'm a parent & that seems incredibly reasonable. (My kids are adults, but I wouldn't put up with that from them in public or at home.) Basic courtesy isn't that hard.

I noped out after the most recent release after waiting 5 years to read it (due to two adjacent plot points), but was close a couple books prior. Hate that I invested so much time & energy just to walk away, but finally couldn't proceed.

I have to admit I'm not a big Targ-stan. When I gave up on GRRM, I gave myself permission to skip them. (I usually listen to the audio version & couldn't hear "If I look back, I am lost" one more time!) Victarion is whiny AND skeevy. The "dusky woman" never slits his throat, sooo...
