right. virtues are real! it is a good thing for even our fiercest partisans to recognize the value of forbearance and decency and of commitments to thinks broader than immediate advantage.

I know people use "civility" and "bipartisanship" in perverse ways that just grind progress to a halt, but this is one of the times when I'm like, "Yeah, there's some value to those things."
