This sort of patchwork sheet (re)used as a single roll of paper also appears a lot in ancient Egyptian papyri (see www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KJL... where study of the individual fragments is described… I didn't catch a word for the whole but "collesis" is used for the joining/glueing sheets together)
