I have no background history with the original so alot of the story felt extremely random. I'm hopeful Rebirth and the 3rd game will make alot of things make more sense, but as of right now just felt kinda disjointed. Regardless I still am looking forward to playing Rebirth.

6th game for 2024 was FF7: Remake. I wanted to like this game more than I did. I didn't particularly enjoy the combat system(played on the new system), I much preferred FF16 combat although I did enjoy being able to swap characters, but the NPC i didn't basically sat around.

This is likely due to fact I have not played the original 7 Yakuza games so don't have as much connection to Kiryu and so kinda felt like was missing impact for half the story. The female characters in this game need more love going forward in series for job/class selections.

4th Game of 2024 - Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Overall I loved this game. I think the gameplay made good QoL and improvements over Like a Dragon, however there were some major skill balance issues(looking at you Burning Arrow). Story felt weaker to me.

3rd Game of 2024 - Super Mario RPG. I loved this game back on the Super Nintendo, and the love and care it got for the remake for the Nintendo Switch is amazing. I truly hope we get a true sequel someday.

2nd Game of 2024 - Yakuza: Like a Dragon. I quite simply loved this game, I have never previously played other Yakuza games but the change in combat style made me try this one out. I loved the Characters, the randomness was amazing and parts made me emotional.

I hope they will get bugs fixed, and tune down alot of the stacking buffs that players can get that completely trivialize combat. Being able to burn down final boss of the game before first round of combat is over is ridiculous. Other fights were killed so fast game bugged out for quest NPC.

Goal for 2024 is to beat new games I buy or games I haven't previously beaten. First game for 2024 is Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader. This is a franchise I have not history with, however i loved the world and characters and story. It's a typical Owlcat game with deep combat, but late game bugs.

BG3, Spider-Man 2, Sea of Stars top 3 for me. For fourth I can't really decide between FF16, Jedi Survivors and Diablo 4. Haven't gotten around to Mario Wonder yet sadly, and haven't finished Warhammer Rogue Trader or that would like be in my top 4.
