@strumstrum.bsky.social This is a completely false dichotomy. Donations can be made OK with low threshold for mandatory declaration, real time updates, cap on maximum donations (eg.£100,000), & very strict rules debarring firms or people who are govt contractors or possible honourees or appointees.
